Support & Installation
This page walks you through everything you need to get a CELEST DSP plugin running in your studio: downloading the installer, installing it, activating your license, and keeping it up to date. If something is not working, the troubleshooting section and our team are here to help.
Before you begin, take a moment to confirm your computer and DAW are supported. See System Requirements for the full list of supported operating systems, plugin formats, and hosts.
Downloading your plugin
Your plugins live in your CELEST DSP account. After purchase, you can download them at any time, on any of your machines.
- Sign in to the account you used at checkout. If you stay signed in, you can skip straight to your account.
- Open your account to see your library of owned products.
- Find the plugin you want to install (for example, Super Kick) in your owned products.
- Choose the installer for your operating system and download it.
If you do not see a product you have purchased, make sure you are signed in with the correct email address, then contact us using the details below.
Installing on macOS
- Locate the downloaded installer in your Downloads folder and double-click it to launch.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. If macOS asks for permission to open an installer from an identified developer, allow it to continue.
- Choose the plugin formats you need and complete the installation. The installer copies each format to its standard system location, typically AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3.
- Supported formats on macOS are AU and VST3.
- Quit and reopen your DAW, then rescan or refresh your plugin list so the new plugin is detected.
Installing on Windows
- Locate the downloaded installer in your Downloads folder and double-click it to launch.
- If Windows shows a security prompt, choose to run the installer to continue.
- Choose the plugin formats you need and complete the installation. The installer copies the VST3 format to its standard location, typically C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
- Supported formats on Windows are VST3.
- Close and reopen your DAW, then rescan or refresh your plugin list so the new plugin is detected.
Activating your license
Activation links your installed plugin to your CELEST DSP account so it can run without restrictions.
- Open the plugin on a track in your DAW.
- When prompted, sign in with the same account you used to purchase the plugin, or enter your license details if requested.
- Complete authorization. The plugin confirms activation and is ready to use. Activation uses authorization by signing in with your CELEST DSP account, or a downloadable license file for offline activation.
- You can activate on up to 2 machines per license. If you reach the limit, deactivate an old machine from your account before activating a new one.
Updating
We release improvements and fixes over time. Updating is free for owned products.
- Open your account and check whether a newer version of your plugin is available.
- Re-download the latest installer for your operating system.
- Run the installer over your existing version. Your settings and presets are preserved. There is no separate auto-updater; download the latest version from your account whenever an update is released.
Troubleshooting
- Plugin not showing in your DAW. Quit and reopen the DAW, then trigger a full plugin rescan. Confirm the plugin format you installed matches one your DAW scans.
- Authorization or activation issues. Make sure you are signed in with the email used at purchase, and that your machine is online during activation. Deactivate an unused machine if you have hit the activation limit.
- Audio glitches, crackles, or dropouts. Increase your audio buffer size in your DAW or audio interface settings, and close other heavy applications.
- Still not working. Fully uninstall, restart your computer, then download and reinstall the latest version from your account.
