These requirements apply to current CELEST DSP plugins. Specifications can vary between products, so always confirm the exact requirements listed on each plugin's product page before purchasing or installing.

CELEST DSP plugins ship as universal binaries and run natively on both Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel Macs.

Plugin Formats
CELEST DSP plugins are 64-bit only and are distributed in the following host-compatible formats:
- VST3 (macOS and Windows). The cross-platform standard supported by most modern DAWs.
- AU (Audio Units) (macOS only). Apple's native format, covering Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, and other AU-compatible Mac hosts.
- AAX (Pro Tools) (macOS and Windows). Avid's native format for Pro Tools, fully supported on both platforms and included in current installers.
A standalone application is not included; the plugins run inside a DAW host only. On macOS you choose which formats to install in the installer, so you can skip the ones your setup does not use; on Windows the installer installs the VST3 and AAX editions.
DAW compatibility
CELEST DSP plugins work in any VST3, AU, or AAX-compatible DAW on a supported operating system. Because some of our plugins offer multiple outputs, your host should support, or tolerate, multi-output audio effects. On macOS the AU versions cover Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, and other AU-compatible hosts, and the AAX versions cover Pro Tools on both macOS and Windows.
Activation & Internet
An internet connection is required to purchase and download your plugin. Activation details: you can authorize the plugin by signing in with your CELEST DSP account, or by downloading a license file for offline activation. An always-on internet connection is not required after activation. License terms: each license may be activated on up to 2 machines you own.
