Frequently Asked Questions
Products & Compatibility
What plugin formats are supported?
Our plugins ship in the most widely used formats so they load directly inside your sessions. Supported formats are VST3 and AU. For a full breakdown by platform, see System Requirements.
Which DAWs and operating systems are supported?
CELEST DSP plugins work in any host that supports the formats above, including the major DAWs on both Mac and Windows. Supported operating systems are recent versions of macOS and Windows. Full details are listed on the System Requirements page.
Are the plugins Apple Silicon native?
Yes. Our plugins run natively on Apple Silicon as well as Intel Macs, so you get full performance on M-series machines without translation layers. They also run under Rosetta if your host requires it.
Is Super Snare available yet?
Super Kick is live and fully purchasable today. Super Snare is in development. You can join the beta waitlist from the Plugins section to be notified the moment it is ready.
Trial & Purchase
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every paid plugin offers a fully functional free trial so you can test it in your own sessions before buying. The trial runs for 30 days with no feature restrictions.
How do I buy a plugin?
Open the plugin from the Plugins section, add it to your cart, and check out securely through our storefront. Your license and download links appear in your account immediately after purchase.
What payment methods and currencies do you accept?
Checkout is handled by our secure storefront provider, which accepts major credit and debit cards and common digital wallets. Pricing and the accepted currencies are shown at checkout: prices are shown in US Dollars, with local currency and any applicable taxes calculated automatically at checkout.
Do prices include tax?
Any applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax is calculated based on your location and shown before you confirm payment. The final total at checkout reflects everything you will be charged, with a full breakdown on your receipt.
Installation & Activation
How do I install a plugin?
After purchase, download the installer for your platform from your account and run it. The installer places the plugin in the standard locations for your system, then a rescan in your DAW makes it available. Step-by-step guidance is on the Support & Install page.
How do I activate or authorize the plugin?
Open the plugin in your DAW and sign in with the account you used to purchase, which authorizes it on that machine. There are no dongles or license files to manage. If you need help, the Support & Install page walks through it.
How many machines can I install on?
A single license covers personal use across your own machines up to the activation limit. The current limit is 2 simultaneous activations. If you reach the limit, you can deactivate a machine you no longer use.
What happens if I get a new computer?
Your license travels with your account, not your hardware. Install the plugin on the new machine and sign in to authorize it. If you have hit your activation limit, deactivate the old machine from your account or contact Support & Install for a reset.
Licensing
Can I use the plugins commercially?
Yes. Your license permits use in commercial productions, including paid mixes, releases, and client work, with no additional royalties. The full terms are set out in the EULA.
Can I transfer or resell my license?
Licenses are issued to you personally and are generally non-transferable, as described in the EULA. If you have a special circumstance, reach out through Contact and we will do our best to help.
Can students or schools use the plugins?
Yes. A standard license covers educational and personal study use. For multi-seat or lab licensing at an institution, get in touch via Contact and we will find an arrangement that fits.
Refunds & Billing
What is your refund policy?
Because the free trial lets you evaluate the plugin fully before buying, we keep refunds simple and fair. We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase. See the Refund Policy for the complete details.
I was charged incorrectly. What do I do?
Contact us right away at support@celestdsp.com with your order number and what looks wrong, or reach out through Contact. We will review your receipt and correct any billing error promptly.
Will I be charged on a recurring basis?
No. Our plugins are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, so you are charged once and own your license. Starting a free trial never requires a payment method or triggers an automatic charge.
Updates & Support
Do I get free updates?
Yes. Maintenance and compatibility updates for the plugins you own are free and available from your account. We will let you know when a new version is ready to download.
How do I get help?
Start with the Support & Install page for setup and troubleshooting guides. If you still need a hand, reach our team through Contact or email support@celestdsp.com.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
We genuinely want the feedback. Send bug reports and feature ideas through Contact, and include your plugin version, DAW, and operating system so we can reproduce the issue quickly.
